Have you ever been in a position where you were expecting a situation to turn out great and the exact opposite happened? It hurts sometimes, I’d have to admit. It really does! It’s a routine, usually because I program these situations and even the reactions of those around me which ends in disappointment, because things and people will never stand out exactly as I picture it .  The revelation of the year!

You know, let’s be very careful with our expectations, and I’m not emphasizing the fact that we don’t have to plan things carefully, but rather the level of expectations perceived by it.

Now let’s talk more specifically about the expectations from people. Are you the type of person who tries to predict even the words and facial expressions used by others? Do not hesitate to respond in comments with examples of supporting situations if you feel like it. In truth, I do, most of the time. But today we will learn why it is a behavior to avoid and what attitudes to adopt from now on.

Why is this a behavior to be avoided?.

☞Feeds disappointment

☞Leads to quarrels and disagreements, which eventually leads to separations.
☞Human beings are not automatons programmed for our good pleasure.

The attitudes to adopt:

☞ Develop Emotional Intelligence: This is the ability to understand and deal with your own emotions and those of those around you.   

☞Stop predicting superficial things.
☞  Be grateful no matter what.
☞Love others as yourself

In the Christian life too, there are similar situations, where you have prayed for something and you have imagined the answer to your prayer in a thousand and one ways, but it does not happen exactly as expected. Not that you weren’t answered, far from it, but the script behind the response didn’t follow. God is a God who acts in many ways through His omniscience. He knows in advance what you want and how you want it, but sometimes He just wants to teach you to let Him be God in your life, to let Him lead you; have you forgotten that He is the master of times and circumstances? And it is when you least expect it, that He manifests the fullness of His glory..
