This week I will just keep it simple, just a little exhortation. I believe most of us have been in a situation where we had to say « AMEN » to something that we heard, whether it is trough a sermon( church, online….) or through somebody. From what we know, AMEN means « let it be so « or « Yes », so I want to ask you something simple: what is the meaning of your AMEN when you say it; is it a » if you say so » or a » let it be so »?
Moreover, if you are a Christian you surely say AMEN a countless number of times during a week, so I want to leave you with a little practical exercice:
Everytime this new week that you will have to say AMEN to something, check whether you are doing it by habit, or you really believe in it. In other words as I said previously, is it a « if you say so » or a « let it be so ». If you realise that all your AMEN are genuine, glory be to God. If not, it’s ok, no need to be frustrated, we can still work on it.
For the second case, I will simply tell you to verify the posture of your heart before saying AMEN, don’t rush anymore. As I said two weeks ago, there should be a link between your heart and your tongues, otherwise no need to declare it, it won’t have value.
Isaiah 29v13:《The Lord says:“These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.》
God loves you.
Thank you for this 🙇♀️
We won’t rush to shout ‘Amen’, Ma…we will take our time to think and believe it first
God bless you dear…more grace
