Isaiah 61:1《The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.》

I want to insist on the part where it is said, « the Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me » , you know in the Old Testament or before Jesus came on earth, the Spirit of the Lord couldn’t dwell in human being, He was coming on them like a garment.  Only when Jesus came to die at the cross for us that He sent the Holy Spirit to have His temple on us .

1 Corinthiens 6:19:《Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;》

As I was explaining, with the new covenant given to us through Christ the Holyspirit is no  more  just on us like a garment but in us as we are His temple.

So God is in us, and we have a new covenant that makes us a disciple of Christ-a Christian; we are one with Him.
John 14v20:《At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.》

Let me get now straight to the point,  I have realized that nowadays we don’t really understand the meaning of Christianity, it is not just a religion, it is a relationship. We  are now using the name Christian or our Christianity like a garment that we can put on and off as we want, it wasn’t supposed to be like that. Christianity is a lifestyle as now we are one with God, He is in us, we are in Him.  Never was it supposed to be a serie where we are a secondary character and we participate once a while in some episodes, NO . To follow the same analogy we are the main character, the protagonist that can’t miss any scene. I don’t know if you get me…

Acting like that is like denying our identity as children of God, and the Bible is clear about it.

Matthew 10v33:《But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.》

Either we are Christians, or we are not. So many times in my life have I put aside my identity as a Christians in front of people to conform myself to others so that i won’t  be rejected or seen like weird. So many times did I have thoughts or did I do something that I knew wasn’t « God’s like » without caring. But today I have realized that I have to make a choice either I am a disciple  or I am not, either I am hot or cold, there is nothing like warm.
Revelation 3v16:《because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.》

In fact I want to invite you to do an  introspection about yourself, there are some things that only you and God know about yourself.  Talk to Him and ask God to lead you into repentance.  He is a father, He won’t reject nor judge you, don’t worry, He is so good to do such things.

Christianity as a lifestyle is also  a journey , you fall you get up, you make mistakes you learn and you grow, simply. It’s about consistency.

Come back to your first love.

And yet if you want to give your life to Christ,  you can just repeat this prayer:
« O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ. Your Word says, « …whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved » Acts 2:21. I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Romans 10:9, « That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead , thou shalt be saved, » I declare that I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God! I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world ! (1 John4:4). I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! »

And if  you were already a Christian but you have realized that you have been staying away from God for quite a long time now, you can also pray that prayer.
