Wisdom

Hey, for those who didn’t know, I am African more precisely Cameroonian, and if this is the case for you too, you should know how respect for parents is of paramount importance.
Imagine for a second, this is a pretty common story if you have a « typical African » mum; you do something stupid and your mom wants to hit you, but you throw yourself away. No, but just take a few moments and imagine the scenario with all the possible repercussions. None of the outcomes are favorable in my opinion.
Honestly speaking, everyone knows that is the last thing to do in this situation, for it is what you might call « wisdom ». It’s that wisdom that tells you ’’no, no, my sister my brother gets your pair of slaps gently without complaining’’ or ’’ if I do this action, I’ll be finished at home ‘’.
Many of our actions towards our parents or elders are held back by this « wisdom » which reminds us of the consequences. And most of us have it.
But why then when it comes to God whom you call Father, yaya (Congolese name given to an authority) do you not think twice before committing an action that goes against His will? Is it not said in PSALM 111: 10 « The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All those who respect his decrees have a sound reason. His glory endures in perpetuity. «

What kind of wisdom do you have if you don’t have the fear of God in your life?
JEREMIAH 9: 23-24 « Thus said the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, said the LORD. «

Christian, do not boast that you have the wisdom of the things of the world without having the true wisdom which is that of the fear of God.

As much as you fear the reaction of your earthly parents before committing anything stupid, so must it be for your Father who is in heaven.
Be careful, when I speak of fearing God, I am not saying that you should see him as an executioner or a wicked Being, far from it, our God is Love and Goodness, but He remains a Holy and Righteous God.
PROVERBS 8:13 “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the fraudulent mouth, do I hate. »

Brothers and sisters, I just want to encourage you to question yourself and ask yourself, « Do I have true wisdom? do I really fear the Lord? ‘’.
And if not, pray that the Holy Spirit will teach you to fear our God.

God loves you. «
